I dont think its a measure word/classifier in that sentence since what follows it is an adjective. My guess is that its a noun. 车已经开了快三个小时了,车窗外的天还是很阴沉,身边坐的姑娘还在睡,脑门儿很踏实地枕在他肩上,右肩已经一片麻木。 Quote
EnergyReaper Posted May 24, 2022 at 05:59 AM Report Posted May 24, 2022 at 05:59 AM Let's change the sentence to make you understand easily. 右肩已经有一片面积麻木了. But native speakers usually don't say in this way. It's verbose. It's 量词 here. (explanation from an online dictionary)指面积、范围、景象、心意等或成片的东西, e.g. 两片药, 一片新气象。 Another common way is to say like 右肩已经麻了一大片。 Quote
