Help finding Taiwanese song from the 90's

Some years ago I tossed away all my old CD's, but the other day I started thinking about a CD I had that I really enjoyed. I was wondering if anybody could give me some suggestions for what the name of the singer could have been? He was singing Taiwanese (which I don't understand, but I still liked it) and it was in the early 1990's. It was a combination of traditional folk songs and rap-like modern music, and I think there was even some traditional opera, too. For some reason I got the impression that he was actually more of a comedian than a musician. Can anybody suggest possible names? Thanks!

Thanks a lot! Really appreciate your effort. His style was most similar to 劉福助, but I don't think he was that old. Anyway, I will definitely listen more to the links you gave me. Lots of interesting stuff!
