Interesting corrective on tones in normal Chinese

I was looking for some comic relief (because my dad recently passed away), and I got it with Ben! What he said was so funny to me that it made me laugh out loud! And, it rang so true to me! I lost so much of my Chinese, since my childhood days. But, one thing that I have been used to through the decades is listening to Chinese people talk to each other. So, I’ve never lost my familiarity with what native Chinese people sound like.

The arguments on all sides in this thread are so well stated, which is partially why I like this website so much! There’s so much good discussion that a random individual has lots to consider, including for their own additional research, to decide what may work for them.

These have been some of the most useful pronunciation videos I've seen. I've watched them many times over and really increased my awareness.
