Larry Language Lover Posted June 22, 2023 at 11:59 AM Report Posted June 22, 2023 at 11:59 AM Anybody have any experience or recommendations with these? Up to yesterday I didn't even know they existed, until I saw one demonstrated on a Chinese teacher's YouTube video. Quote
abcdefg Posted June 26, 2023 at 10:01 PM Report Posted June 26, 2023 at 10:01 PM Sounds like something that should be available for 20 Kellogg's Rice Krispie Breakfast Cereal box tops plus $1.98 to cover costs of shipping and handling. For a few additional box tops, you can also get the Magic Decoder Ring. 1 Quote
vellocet Posted June 27, 2023 at 09:46 AM Report Posted June 27, 2023 at 09:46 AM Kids used to use them for English. They're still around, although smartphone-based OCR has largely made them obsolete. I recommend the app Pleco for OCR that will read the characters and put them into a form that can be copied and pasted. Most translators just translate to English and won't give you the characters. 1 Quote
