Building Baidu webmaster tools from outside of China

Hello, good forum.

I created a Baidu subscription, but when I want to add my site to the webmaster tools tool, it asks me for a china number. How can I handle this? Can anyone help?

Obviously you need a PRC national who is very familiar with you to help you finishing this. But sharing private phone number to others especially with overseas friends has a big risk, he would undertake the aftermath as an allegation together from any illegal activities.  
Maybe you could seek in black market for some special paid services around phone number ...

Just like most places, unless you know someone well, they aren't likely to share their email address or phone number with you. 

 

Unfortunately there's nothing like Google voice in China that I know of. Phone numbers are controlled quite strictly because there has been (and still is?) a lot of scamming and fraud going on. 

 

You could try Taobao, but you would probably have to search in a bit of a roundabout way, since services like that are probably not allowed.
