Nothing bad happens when you do that, it just flags the post for the moderators. In your note with the report, let us know you want the post deleted, and please also tell us why. We can then make the post invisible, so nobody except moderators can see it. Please do not just edit your post to say 'delete', this clutters the forum. The edit button is intended for things like typos, and perhaps adding information that you later realised was relevant. If people go back into discussions to severly edit their posts, or remove what they said, the discussion can become very hard to follow and we don't want that.
