New Members zarbi Posted January 22, 2024 at 10:11 AM New Members Report Posted January 22, 2024 at 10:11 AM I have a Q2 visa (2 years validity, 90 days per entry). I want to move to China for family reunion with my wife, apply for residence permit there. Does anyone know whether it is possible to apply for residence permit from Q2 visa? Or can it only be done from Q1 visa, need to apply for Q1 visa first? I checked many websites but the information is not very clear ... Thanks in advance. Quote
cncorrect Posted January 24, 2024 at 02:23 AM Report Posted January 24, 2024 at 02:23 AM 'Holder of Q2 visa shall submit an invitation letter provided by the individuals to be visited, the identity certificate, and proof of family relationship. The stay may be extended for no more than 180 days.' From https://s.nia.gov.cn/mps/bszy/wgrcrjEn/e-sqwgrqz/202201/index.html It seems that you can only extend the stay of your Q2 visa. You'd better ask your local public security bureau. Quote
