How would one write the name Neo Chee in Cantonese/Mandarin? Would 梁志 be correct?

Would it be appropriate for a girl’s name using those same characters? I’m told that is more for boys.

志 would be quite unusual to see in girl's names, more common to see plant/flower-related characters like 芝 or 芷. Have never seen either of those as a 1-character name though....

To me it seems quite nice due to the allusion to 栀子花 but hopefully can get some comments from actual Chinese native speakers!
