2002年，日本影星山口百惠声明，她是杨贵妃的后裔。这个消息让中国人无比震惊，杨贵妃的后人怎么可能跑到日本去呢？其实早在20年代，著名“红学家”俞平伯先生在《长恨歌》等文章中指出，杨贵妃可能并没死在马嵬坡，而是去了日本定居。现今的日本沿海边有一个叫做“久津”的村子，以“杨贵妃之乡”而闻名。

传说，当年杨贵妃在马嵬坡兵变下，一名侍女代她死了，杨贵妃在遣唐使的帮助下，乘船离开大唐，经过漫长漂泊，到了日本山口县久津，而山口百惠就是山口家族的一员。日本南宫博的《杨贵妃外传》和渡边龙策的《杨贵妃复活秘史》中也有描述。

11世纪时，日本著名作家紫式部根据长恨歌写了世界上最长的一部小说《源氏物语》。紫式部是日本宫廷女官，主要为宫廷内的贵夫人们讲述汉学，《源氏物语》就是描述源氏的命运，与中国的杨贵妃有很相似之处。

I actually do not know about that story and found it intriguing as I read that article by chance. That's why I tried to ask people here if anyone has learned more about the topic to offer more insights.

I had never heard about that myth in Chinese history until a couple of days ago.

I am interested in learning more about it.
