For that much you can get a good sized, well equipped apartment pretty much anywhere in Beijing - the university will, most likely, give you a hotel room with communal laundry and cooking facilities. There's been quite a bit of discussion on this previously - this topic is a good place to start. Most people just check into dorms / a hotel for the first week or so, then start hunting for longer term accomodation. Roddy Quote
