Ian_Lee Posted January 6, 2004 at 09:10 PM Report Posted January 6, 2004 at 09:10 PM Hakka restaurant is a barometer to test a Chinese society's affluence. In '60s and '70s, there were plenty of Hakka restaurants in Hong Kong. In almost street corner, there certainly would be one you could find. But hardly you can locate a single one in a district now. Salty baked chicken, deep fried pig intestine, fatty pork with mui choy, beefball/fishball on pak choy,.......etc were all affordable and yummy even though they might raise your cholestrol to an alarming level.
