I'm guessing this means something like "what's your view on what will happen from now on", but I don't really get how 对 plays a part...

It corresponds to the first "on" in your translation; it's simply the preposition needed in such a construction (对。。。有). Another example I can think of is 对... 感兴趣, be interested in ...

Thanks! Yeah this has helped me out a lot, especially in another more complicated sentence that I had, the 对 was throwing me off.

I don't think I need help with this anymore, but I'll show you what I was trying to break down (and I think I've got it). It's regarding single child families in China:

这种文化的特点是父母对他们孩子的智力发展和非智力发展采取不同的态度。

So now I realize the 对 in here is a preposition for the parents' children. Thanks!

Actually not just the children, but the children's development (everything before 采取).
