niubi Posted January 7, 2004 at 04:38 AM Report Share Posted January 7, 2004 at 04:38 AM yeah, i wouldn't mind having a whole slew of chinese fonts to use in photoshop, etc....
roddy Posted January 7, 2004 at 04:47 AM Report Share Posted January 7, 2004 at 04:47 AM Try this, but please pay attention to the note at the bottom - too much bandwidth use and they'll disappear . . . http://www.sinosplice.com/chinese/fonts/ Roddy Edit: Just installed one of these, and IE's started using it as my default for all Chinese text - looks a lot better, but often a bit tricky to read. pazu Posted January 7, 2004 at 05:39 PM Report Share Posted January 7, 2004 at 05:39 PM are you in China now? better go and buy a CDROM, it won't be too expensive, save much of your download time. Good investment.
pazu Posted January 7, 2004 at 05:41 PM Report Share Posted January 7, 2004 at 05:41 PM And more, try to find a Chinese font that supports Unicode too. I had some CHinese BIG5 fonts and they didn't work in Photoshop CS.
niubi Posted January 7, 2004 at 07:16 PM Report Share Posted January 7, 2004 at 07:16 PM i pasted them in C:WINDOWSFonts, however some of them wouldn't copy over...i got error messages saying that some of the fonts were invalid or damaged. Konglong Posted January 16, 2004 at 07:34 AM Report Share Posted January 16, 2004 at 07:34 AM Go to the Fonts folder and from the top menu select "File - Install New Font." Then browse for the folder with your fonts. This is the correct way to install them. Kong
niubi Posted January 16, 2004 at 07:52 AM Report Share Posted January 16, 2004 at 07:52 AM thanks, however i think all the fonts that installed just pasting them to the fonts folder work fine. there are a few that i downloaded that seem to have damaged files. when i pass my mouse over the last font for instance on that website it says the file should be 7+mb, the file that downloads is only 5+mb. i think i saw something on that website about problems with hard drives...i wonder if some of the files were damaged because of that. when i use your method, the few font files that were said to be damaged using the pasting method do not even show up in the list of fonts to choose from - thus they must be damaged files.
