Chinese learners - Simplified or Traditional?

Learning traditional so far because if I ever go somewhere to learn Chinese, it would most likely be Taiwan but once I get the hang of traditional characters I would like to at least learn to recognise simplified.

Wow this is a really old post, might not be bad to revisit it.

For me its simplified fully, with being able to recognise traditional but not writing traditional.

I actually think it'd be worth starting a new one - unless I'm mistaken, I think there's been a shift towards traditional over the years.

Yes with an option for simplified with traditional recognition like I do, and vice versa.

 

Not sure how you would word that to be fully understood by all and concise.
