The Cat's in the Bag and the Bag's in the River

How would you translate "The Cat's in the Bag and the Bag's in the River" as literally and as elegantly sounding as possible?

I thought of "猫在包,包在河" because it almost rhymes. But it doesn't rhyme and doesn't work for me.

Maybe 猫在包里,包在河里 (or should that be 在河中?)

"You could try 有

河有包, 包有猫"

That's pretty clever, thanks.

"I have no idea why you'd want to though."

That's a different story...

"Maybe 猫在包里,包在河里"

I really don't like the sound of that, thought about it, too.
