katafei Posted November 4, 2005 at 07:36 PM Report Posted November 4, 2005 at 07:36 PM I recently got an e-mail with the following line as subject. I know it's no junkmail, but would like to know what the line means: 優人神鼓-聽海之心101網路徵文 If anyone could help me, I'd be very grateful! Katafei Quote

katafei Posted November 11, 2005 at 09:26 PM Author Report Posted November 11, 2005 at 09:26 PM Okay, I thought I posted an answer earlier, but I don't see it now so I must have done something wrong! Thank you very much for your reaction! Have you ever been to see Utheatre?? They are amazing! I have recently been to France to visit "Meeting with Vajrasattva", which was breathtaking. Unfortunately they had tuned down the programme a bit, because the theatre was very big (2700 seats) and they were afraid that some of the more meditative parts might get lost in the crowd. So I have yet to see the whole show, hopefully one day! I've seen "the Sound of the Ocean' about 7 times and it remains ever impressing! i'm just a bit jealous of you, seeing them in Hong Kong soon! I hope very much you will enjoy them! So again, thank you very much! Quote
skylee Posted February 24, 2006 at 05:58 PM Report Posted February 24, 2006 at 05:58 PM I saw 禪武不二 tonight and it was sensational. Do not miss this show if you have the chance to see it. Promotion video BTW, Run Run Shaw (if you know who he is) sat two rows in front of me ... Quote
katafei Posted February 24, 2006 at 06:41 PM Author Report Posted February 24, 2006 at 06:41 PM Hi Skylee, Wow, I can imagine it was wonderful!! The photo's certainly look impressive. i cannot run the video on my pc, so I will have to wait until tomorrow to see it. I just found out today that I have almost a week off work, so I was already thinking of making a little trip. So now I'm plunging into the possibilities of making a "little" trip to Hong Kong:) Oh well, probably just daydreaming, but never mind. I have a little trouble reading the Chinese site of the Hong Kong Festival. Can you tell me whether they are sold out? No, I don't really know who Run Run Saw is??? Once I saw 'Cloud Gate Theatre" performing Songs of the Wanderers. (www.cloudgate.org.tw). Very impressive as well. Turned out I was sitting right next to Lin Hwai Min. Of course I didn't found out until he was actually on stage:) Quote
skylee Posted February 25, 2006 at 01:29 AM Report Posted February 25, 2006 at 01:29 AM Here is the english version of the website -> A touch of zen Yes the show is sold out (all 5 performances). Cloud Gate was also featured in the arts festival in HK this year. The shows were "Cursive", "Cursive II" and "Cursive III". Quote
