diff Posted November 10, 2005 at 04:06 PM Report Posted November 10, 2005 at 04:06 PM Hi, subject says it all: are there any good books or online-ressources out there to study law-relevant vocabulary? I've been to the Wangfujing-bookstore recently but couldn't find anything. A hint where to find a decent English <--> Chinese (with Pinyin!) legal-dictionary would be appreciated aswell. Best regards, diff Quote
kudra Posted November 10, 2005 at 09:46 PM Report Posted November 10, 2005 at 09:46 PM Not a vocabulary site, obviously, but you might try poking around here. http://www.bakernet.com/BakerNet/Locations/Asia+Pacific/Offices/China/default.htm If you have the nerve, you could call them and ask what they use for the new hires from the US. gato Posted November 11, 2005 at 02:17 AM Report Posted November 11, 2005 at 02:17 AM Oh, the permission system for the download function is broken. Need to notify Roddy. Here are the two lists in GB format: http://polycrit.com/wordlist_govt.gb http://polycrit.com/wordlist_daily.gb Quote
roddy Posted November 11, 2005 at 02:22 AM Report Posted November 11, 2005 at 02:22 AM No need to notify Roddy, he can't do anything about it at the moment. It's not a permissions issue, the actual uploading / downloading functions are bust, and I've got way too much on at the moment to spend much time fiddling with it. Quote
diff Posted November 11, 2005 at 09:50 PM Author Report Posted November 11, 2005 at 09:50 PM Hi, thanks for the replies! I'm in contact with Baker already, but no results so far. I've downloaded the word list right now, seems very promising. But still: aren't there any books available? Best regards, diff Quote
