novemberfog Posted November 23, 2005 at 01:08 PM Report Posted November 23, 2005 at 01:08 PM I am interested in hearing about social contract in China, Taiwan, HK, and other nations of the world. I live in Japan and in Japan, the social contract is that employees will work hard for the company. In return, the company will help fund the community in good times, give back to community. But since the economic collapse of Japan, companies are leaving and moving their factories and engineering shops to Shanghai (well the areas around Shanghai like Kunshan). What is the social contract in your country/region? What about social contract in China? What responsibilities do Chinese companies have to the place where they have chosen to build a factory? Quote
