Poetry helps memorise words and phrases much easier, because it rhymes. since I'm too young for poetry, I listen to rap:-) but then again.. not all of it. I really don't have to listen to commercial people like 50 cent. I prefer artists, that are like modern-time poets.. like MC Sloaar from France for instance. so if anyone knows something, please let me know Thanks. Quote

Even though it's quite sad, I find it quite thoughtful and catchy (I can always remember the first few lines of it at least). The only thing is that Jay, being Jay, tends to mumble and throw in the odd Taiwanese phrase. But if you can get hold of a copy of the lyrics, you should be able to follow ok There's also a funny rap called 机车女孩 (Locomotive Girl). Forgot who does it, but I think the lyrics were by 罗百吉. It's pretty funny (possibly bordering on insulting), but it's also catchy and pretty clearly rapped. Quote

I asked all the sales staff whether they could recommend any good rap music. Sure, I ended up buying quite a few CDs. But none of them are what I would call rap or hip-hop. You're problem seems to have been that the character encoding wasn't set on that page. Try setting the character encoding (in Firefox under View->Character Encoding; not sure under IE) to gb2312. Just in case that doesn't work, I've copied the lyrics below.
