jeffchina Posted November 26, 2005 at 03:53 PM Report Posted November 26, 2005 at 03:53 PM "So I suggest you watch some Chinese TV program, they can improve your Chinese into a new step. I believe you can master Chinese very well" I've been wanting to do something like this for some time now but access to Mandarin language source material is limited in Canada. I can watch the mandarin language news once a day but the vocabulary is to complex for my level, I need more day-to-day conversation. Other than that there are some movies in local rental joints that are good choices but I've seen them all and renting them over and over doesn't appeal to me. So I have an idea, for learners of chinese, and if need be I would be willing to return the favour. If it's successful it could help a lot of learners. It requires some internet skills. I'm sure anybody reading this knows or has heard of bittorrent!!! I have tried hard to find Mandarin television or movies to download but have been unsuccessful because of the language barrier. I'm sure this technology has been embraced in China as it has everywhere, so I'm sure the source I'm looking for is around, I just need help to find it. SO here's what I'm asking, if you are Chinese and are willing to help, find a torrent file that links to a movie or television program that you think would make good listening practice for me, and post it here. Or a link to a website where I can download the torrent file myself. I will in turn make a list and post it everywhere I can, and if I get enough links, maybe a yahoo group or something, and in return, if you like I will suggest a link that would be good english listening practice. I really hope you or anybody reading this who has an interest would help. Jeff Quote
