Catdiseased Posted November 29, 2005 at 06:12 PM Report Posted November 29, 2005 at 06:12 PM does that mean that China has lost the fight against the US? Quote
Ian_Lee Posted November 29, 2005 at 08:34 PM Author Report Posted November 29, 2005 at 08:34 PM IMO the Shanghai Hooters Girls may have bigger boobs than their American counterparts since it doesn't look like they have implants in the pictures. Quote
randall_flagg Posted November 29, 2005 at 08:55 PM Report Posted November 29, 2005 at 08:55 PM What a fun interview! Next time I'll go to Shanghai, I'll definitely check check out their Hooters. Quote
ala Posted November 29, 2005 at 11:12 PM Report Posted November 29, 2005 at 11:12 PM does that mean that China has lost the fight against the US? Um, there was a fight? Hooters is a natural extension of Chinese culture, especially in Shanghai. Quote
Ncao Posted November 29, 2005 at 11:38 PM Report Posted November 29, 2005 at 11:38 PM Hooters is a natural extension of Chinese culture, especially in Shanghai. What do mean by that? Quote
Ian_Lee Posted November 30, 2005 at 12:13 AM Author Report Posted November 30, 2005 at 12:13 AM Democracy has come to China -- in Shanghai's Hooters. They just elected a China Hooters Girl on Oct 22 who will fly to US to compete in the 2006 Global Hooters Girls Champion: http://app1.chinadaily.com.cn/star/2005/1027/ls32-1.htm Quote
mpallard Posted November 30, 2005 at 05:28 AM Report Posted November 30, 2005 at 05:28 AM Hooters in Shanghaii blows. There are no hooters present and it has got to be the most expensive beer in China. Maybe it's good if you've got a sweet ass job and can just throw money away but for poor ass me it consumed about 6 months of my precious beer money. Quote
Catdiseased Posted November 30, 2005 at 02:14 PM Report Posted November 30, 2005 at 02:14 PM well the interviewed woman said that 50% or even more are European/American tourists, so...they do have the money. Besides that, there are a lot more rich Chinese as well nowadays, especially in Shanghai. Starbucks is doing well, huh? Quote
rockytriton Posted November 30, 2005 at 06:58 PM Report Posted November 30, 2005 at 06:58 PM I don't know if any of you have been to a Hooters in the US, but they are horrible. The food is bad and the girls are cute but they are generally small and very skinny. Most of them really don't have any hooters at all. Quote
Ian_Lee Posted November 30, 2005 at 08:24 PM Author Report Posted November 30, 2005 at 08:24 PM Rockytriton: I have been to the Hooters in Honolulu. Of course the food is terrible. (But who cares about the food?) But the girls are not skinny. All of them got big boobs which may be a result of visual distortion since they all wore T-Shirts which were two-sizes smaller than what actually fitted them. Quote
DrinkDrankDrunk Posted December 2, 2005 at 03:19 AM Report Posted December 2, 2005 at 03:19 AM If you guys are ever in the States, don't ever go for Wednesday's all-you-can-eat hot wings, unless you fancy hurling all 57 wings at the adjacent White Castle parking lot afterwards. Through your nose. I wonder if the Hooters girls in Shanghai perform for Birthdays too... Quote
Catdiseased Posted December 20, 2005 at 05:27 PM Report Posted December 20, 2005 at 05:27 PM They do! There are even links to some birthday song on the interview site. Quote
