is there a difference between 衬衣 and 衬衫?

I think there used to be differences between 衣、裳 / 衫、裤 in ancient costumes. Nowadays, 衣 is used more often in Mandarin, and 衫 more often in Cantonese.

In Chinese peple don't often say "很谢谢",though in English people often say "many thanks" ,etc. But you can say "非常感谢" ."非常感谢" means "thank you very much".

Southern dialects (Cantonese, Wu--Shanghainese, etc) use 衫 more..... 衬衫 (dress shirt), 线衫 (sweater), 汗衫（t-shirt), 长衫 (qipao, cheongsam) etc

Actually I think there are some difference between衬衣and衬衫. To me , if you mention 衬衫, I think you are talking about the kind of thin and nice shirt you can wear a tie. For 衬衣, my understanding is it is more than a shirt, it can be any kind of long 内衣. 衬衫 is one sort of 衬衣.

I've seen 太感谢used as opposed to 很感谢 有一样的意思，是吧？

There isn't much wrong with " 很多谢！" (as in the original post above). Just drop the 很, you'll have a perfect phrase frequently used by Chinese people: " 多谢！"
