Very easy! Nervewracking the first time you use it, but you get used to it. Do you mean trains, planes, or automobiles? Or buses? The public transportation systems are very comprehensive in China, especially in metropolitan areas and it's a great way to get around. It works the same way it does most places - Buses have numbers, Trains have numbers and the are listed on departure boards at the station with the platform number. And someone usually checks your ticket (an extra precaution if your worried abt getting on the rt train.) In long/distance rural bus stations the buses don't have numbers but they have a sign with a destination on it and you can ask the driver. Have a Chinese friend write down your destination in Chinese and show it to the driver to double check. In cities you may be able to find another passenger who knows enough English to translate for you.Public transportation in China is easy and cheap. Hold onto your bags and watch out for thiefs, though!

Look out for the minibuses going your way. You might find you have to sit for hours in the minibus waiting for it to fill up.
