Memories of a fool...

Hi.

I've heard of a book whose Chinese title is something like 'Memories of a fool'.

Do you know if it has been translated into English, French or Italian?

If not, can you tell me the name of the author and the Chinese title?

Grazie mille (many thanks)!

Ciao

Yes, Skylee. The author I was looking for is Lu Xun!

Many thanks...

By chance has anyone read his stories?

Which do you recommend for starting?

Take a look ->

哭范愛農

哀范君三章

把酒論天下,先生小酒人。

大圜猶酩酊,微醉合沉淪。

幽谷無窮夜,新宮自在春。

舊朋云散盡,余亦等輕塵。

I have doubts on the accuracy of some of the characters on these pages, like "茗艼" (which I think is wrong). But these are as good as what you can get on the internet without paying ...

And here is the story -> 范愛農

As far as I know there are some translation in italian of the story you mentioned. One is published by Acquarelli edizioni and another one is published by I Millenni. The latter is more expensive and includes other stories by Lv Xun.

Many thanks to all.

I have found an English and a French translation of Diary of a mad man

Unfotunately the book published in Italian by Acquarelli isn't avalaible anymore and I couldn't find the one published by I Millenni, Oblo.

I'm going to read the book in English or French.

Ciao.

I bought it in Italy a few years ago to have something to read on the train. It was an edizione molto economica - just a few thousand lire at the time. My guess is that almost any bookshop would be able to get you a copy, but perhaps at a more expensive price.
