hopestar Posted December 20, 2005 at 11:21 AM Report Posted December 20, 2005 at 11:21 AM Hi All, I thought this particular website had some great resources for learning traditional Chinese. http://edu.ocac.gov.tw/home_en.htm In particular, I found these direct links to be especially useful: 1. http://edu.ocac.gov.tw/interact/ebook/digitalpublish/MContent.asp?Lang=C This is an e-book that teaches you 500 characters. It also includes audio. The entire ebook with audio can be downloaded onto your computer. 2. http://edu.ocac.gov.tw/lang/medium/ch_1000/index.htm This teaches you 1000 words. 3. http://edu.ocac.gov.tw/lang/chineselearn/ Games to play! tsp_uk Posted January 1, 2006 at 01:35 AM Report Posted January 1, 2006 at 01:35 AM Hi, I noticed that beside each character there are these strokes beside it, could somebody tell me what they are? If you open the 500 words link you'll understand what I'm talking about. Quote
Hann Posted January 1, 2006 at 05:22 PM Report Posted January 1, 2006 at 05:22 PM I think you are referring to the mandarin phonetic symbols or the bo po mo fo. Its what they use to teach people in taiwan with. Quote
Hann Posted January 1, 2006 at 05:26 PM Report Posted January 1, 2006 at 05:26 PM Is there a nice PDF file for the 1000 words like there is with the 500 words one? Makes it super handy Quote
