Roddy, I am using Maxthon and recently find that a special icon (show you a pic)will appear anterior the URL and tabs for most of the websites I visit. However, when I open this site, there is currently no icon, but an ugly black hole. Then I tried firefox. there is no icon but blank space, though it looks better than a black hole. So I am wondering if you could create a distinct, representative, catchy, talented icon for this site and make it displayed in the tabs and before the URL.

How about you draw a distinct, representative, catchy, talented icon on a small piece of paper, and glue it to your computer screen over that ugly black box. Then it will appear for every webpage, not just this one, and you can stop bothering me again.

Ah...... sorry, I ve been ignorant. My bad, my bad. I didnt know the 'black box' IS the icon! Wise idea! I do have to learn more about art and appreciation.

OTOH, I also use Maxthon, and I see a "favicon" image. It's a small sheet of paper with a blue ball at the left edge, about midway up. No pieces of paper on the monitor, either.

You see, Chenpv, nobody else sees the black box, it's just you. First try checking your monitor for small black pieces of paper, and if you can't find any, simply reformat your hard drive. Twice.

Thanks for telling me it is called 'favicon'. And I know what favicon you were referring to. Well, , that favicon appears only when the webpage can not be found or correctly opend here. Do I need to upgrade my Maxthon? I am using 1.5.0 (build 95) Unicode edition right now.

I think we will need a logo before a favicon, I miss the monkey, but even the rooster is pecking away. Anyways, I [pop=dont take my word]think[/pop] roddy would be willing to upload the favicon.ico if you can come up with a good one.

It is just that (1) Roddy seems never to have spare time from work to answer my private messages, which always made me wondered if my private messages ever functioned.
