xiaojiang216 Posted December 27, 2005 at 04:03 PM Report Posted December 27, 2005 at 04:03 PM 大家好! Tomorrow night I am going to a cool Chinese restaurant called 蝴蝶. It's really cool! I've only gone there a few times... Whenever I go there they start talking to me in Chinese... And I was wondering how I would go about saying.... "May I have a table next to the fish tank?" There's a reallllllllllly cool fish tank there that is next to a few booths. One time I was sitting there eating my meal when I heard a girl in the kitchen... "去他妈的!" I was the only one that dropped my chopsticks and said, "啊?!?!?" Everyone else within hearing distance apparently did not speak Chinese... Anyway, thank you for your help and your patience! Quote

woliveri Posted December 27, 2005 at 09:13 PM Report Posted December 27, 2005 at 09:13 PM You could probably drop the "ni men" since it's understood they have a fish tank and the "de", like so: 我想坐在鱼缸旁边儿. 可以马? Does this sound ok? Quote
