I completely agree. But I also think strong people should not hit weaker people, and in this case, it seems she was the stronger of the two.

Bhchao- thank you for seeing my side. And that link was great. It described me very well. I'm like that fox that was described in the link. I don't rely on men to do for me, the things I can do for myself. And I know how to make a man run through hoops without him being able to know my true feelings. Until I'm sure he is worth my time, energy, and love. Because when it comes down to it, they are stronger then us both physicaly, and emotionaly. So we girls have got to protect ourselves.

gougou- What makes you think that I WAS STRONGER THEN HIM?! That was a big guy, and he was strong. I used technique, not power. If you know anythng about fighting, you would know that it is not the stronger person that wins. It is the person who knows h to move their body and use techniques to their advantage. If I would have stood there and let him hit me again, I could have gotten really hurt. Then he would have been the stroger person, while I would have just been in a streacher being rushed to the hospital. I choose to stand up for myself. So no, I didn't over-react. He was lookng for a fight when he hit me. And he got one. Its not my fault that he could not take it.

Xiaohua: I think you might have overreacted a bit, but still I can only agree with you beating the guy like that. He did deserve it for hitting a woman that seemed weaker than him. You're right about girls needing to be able to defend themselves, and I really should take some lessons in that.

The article seems pretty self-evident to (Western) me. Of course you shouldn't depend on a man, financially or otherwise. There's no guarantee that he'll always be there, so you'd better be sure you can get by on your own. Being attractive is nice, but pretty much useless if you can't take care of yourself.

Sorry, I didn't mean stronger in the physical sense. I think whoever has got the upper hand should exercise lenience. That is to say, hitting him back is OK. Choking him when he's on the floor already is not. No matter female or not. Just my POV...

gougou- Ok maybe I shouldn't have choked him. But I was mad. And thats what happens when people hit me and make me mad. I felt bad when I saw them rushing him to the hospital. But what could I do?! The damage was already done. He could have had a great day if he would have kept his hands to himself.

Lu- Yeah. Maybe I did jack him up a little bit too much. But I do think that you should take some lessons. Because it may save your life one day.
