maxham Posted January 5, 2006 at 07:46 AM Report Posted January 5, 2006 at 07:46 AM Hi Roddy I reposted an ad for a flat to rent that I posted a few weeks back - and of course on the same day someone has taken the flat. Just wondered if the post can be removed.....no worries if not, I might just get a few emails, that's all. Cheers Amy Quote
roddy Posted January 5, 2006 at 07:58 AM Report Posted January 5, 2006 at 07:58 AM It is possible to delete your own posts, but I'm a) not sure if you can do it if it's the first in a topic and B) there might be a time limit. I'm not sure exactly what options you have, as I have the super-duper flash admin panel (big BAN / DELETE / FRY buttons next to everyone's name, and I have full access to all your webcams), but try under 'thread tools' or clicking then 'Go advanced' and see if there's a delete option there. If not, you can just edit out the complete message, or edit it to say 'sorry, flat is gone'. I can remove threads if necessary, but I tend not to do it for something like this when a quick user edit is just as good. Roddy Quote

roddy Posted January 5, 2006 at 12:28 PM Report Posted January 5, 2006 at 12:28 PM You should be able to edit it, unless there's a permissions issue with that forum. Can you see the edit button next to your post there? Quote
