ZhuJiesheng Posted January 6, 2006 at 03:00 PM Report Posted January 6, 2006 at 03:00 PM For one my up-coming chinese exams I have to prepare for a situation in an airport where I've missed my flight, problem is I'm not quite sure how to say 'pre-booked non-refunable fixed student return ticket' >.< To cover pre-booked I've just said I had brought a ticket but missed my flight but I still need to translate the rest of it. I know refund is 退款, for non-funable can I say 没退款的? For fixed I figure i can use 固定 as I'm not sure whether 既定 would be more appropriate? For student return ticket I think I can use 学生来回票 but I'm not sure if it goes together >.< So I kinda have 没退款的固定学生来回票 which I'm pretty sure doesn't sound right >.< Quote
geraldc Posted January 6, 2006 at 04:14 PM Report Posted January 6, 2006 at 04:14 PM This site uses 不允許退票 for non refundable, you should be able to pick up most of the phrases from travel sites like that. You should also revise the differences between 不 and 没 before your exam!!! Quote
roddy Posted January 6, 2006 at 04:21 PM Report Posted January 6, 2006 at 04:21 PM I think in spoken Chinese something like '不能退票的' or '不可退的‘ might be used. Do you have to say all that at once though? It's going to be a fun sentence to get through. Quote
ZhuJiesheng Posted January 6, 2006 at 05:36 PM Author Report Posted January 6, 2006 at 05:36 PM *grin* yea i think saying it all at once is gonna trip me up a fiar bit >.< I'm trying to break it down as much as possible, but I don't quite know what my teacher is gonna ask yet so if i break it down too much I might not be able to put it back together >.< lol Quote
Quest Posted January 6, 2006 at 10:58 PM Report Posted January 6, 2006 at 10:58 PM Try: 预订但不能退的固定票价的来回学生票。 Quote
studentyoung Posted January 7, 2006 at 04:32 AM Report Posted January 7, 2006 at 04:32 AM pre-booked non-refunable fixed student return ticket 预订无退款服务无折扣优惠的双程 / 往返学生机票 non-refundable : 无退款服务的 fixed: here means no discount is contained in the ticket price, i.e.无折扣优惠的 return ticket:双程机票 / 往返机票 Thanks!
