Hi,

I am working on a french computer software so it can work on chinese computers.

When printing document, we put the name of people.

In french, the order is civility, first name and then family name.

For example : Mr John Smith

Is there an usual order in chinese ?

Thanks for your help.

PS : I don't speak a word of chinese, only french or english. Sorry.

In Chinese, Family Name is followed by First Name.

For example: Mr. Mao Zedong would be Monsieur Zedong Mao in French.

If it is really in Chinese, then the order should be Mao Zedong Mr. 8)

(Say you are making a localized version of your mail-merge software in Chinese.)
