webmagnets Posted January 7, 2006 at 03:42 AM Report Posted January 7, 2006 at 03:42 AM I would like to find audio of someone reading chinese (a paragraph or more) with pinyin transcript. I am very new and think this would help me learn pinyin and pronunciation. Does anyone know of a web site or some other way I can accomplish this? Quote

Shadowdh Posted January 7, 2006 at 12:01 PM Report Posted January 7, 2006 at 12:01 PM also you could check out ChinesePod.com and use the pdf transcripts while listening to the oral... the first week is a free trial of all services after that you have to pay for the transcripts and premium services but the pod casts are still free... self-taught-mba Posted January 7, 2006 at 12:37 PM Report Posted January 7, 2006 at 12:37 PM Save your money! Just find any transcript and convert it to pinyin using my instructions here: http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/topic/7112-song-for-my-girlfriend NJSTAR software here: http://www.njstar.com/ But if you are really a newbie this might be a little fast. Best to learn the pinyin a little first then do the transcript thing. Check out these sites: http://www.chinawestexchange.com/Mandarin/pinyin/pinyinChart.htm http://www.courses.fas.harvard.edu/~pinyin/#Pinyin Good luck! Quote
