People Commune

Does anybody ever remember what people commune looks like?

I have never lived or worked at a People Commune. But when PRC started to open its door in late '70s, People Commune and Martyr's Memorial Park were must-see on the itinerary of any tour group.

So I had a chance to visit the People Commune.

For me, the visit to People Commune was a refreshing experience. Other than tolerating the 2-hour BS from the local party secretary and sightseeing those model farms and orchards, the meal they offered us was cooked in country style and absolutely without any MSG.

After so many years I am still nostalgic about those mouthwatering non-thirsty dishes.
