imron Posted January 15, 2006 at 08:45 AM Report Posted January 15, 2006 at 08:45 AM Inspired by discussion in this thread: http://www.chinese-forums.com/showthread.php?p=57384#post57384, attached to this post is a zip file containing Rich Text Files of most of this years scripts for the CRI news broadcasts, as found here: http://gb.chinabroadcast.cn/1321/more/4974/more4974.htm There are a couple missing, as for some reason the links to the wma files were broken so I didn't bother creating scripts for broadcasts I couldn't download. This basically saves you the trouble of having to go through and create them yourself by cutting and pasting them together from all the different news articles. You can use them either as an accompaniment to the broadcasts that are available for download, or just by themselves, as they are a series of short articles containing lots of vocab regarding recent happenings and events in China and the world. If you are interested in saving the CRI broadcasts (wma files) to your hard-disk, you will need to use software that can save streaming media - something Windows Media Player is incapable of doing. I used SDP http://sdp.ppona.com/ which is a nice free program that also allows you to do batch downloading - which is a nice and convenient way to grab all the wma files you are interested in. criscripts.zip Quote
