My first translating experience!

大家好!

Today was my first time translating for someone who doesn't understand English! I had to translate for the 副校长 of 山东省实验小学. I really enjoyed doing it, but it made me realize how stupid I am. There were several times where I had to crack open my dictionary. I feel really stupid that there are so many things that I don't know. I know that once you get to a certain level, progress is seen over much longer periods of time... But does translating get easier the more you do it?

Any memorable translating experiences that people would like to post?
