Yuchi Posted January 17, 2006 at 10:35 PM Report Posted January 17, 2006 at 10:35 PM *oh! - 哟 yo (surprised) oh (as in, "i see") - 哦 ò ah! 啊! à haha - 哈哈 hāhā *hehe - 呵呵 hēhē *huh? - 啊? á *um... - Not so sure.. Some of those may not be right because, I wasn't quite sure what you wanted, so I put an asterisk next to those. Quote
ruiskukka Posted January 18, 2006 at 05:48 AM Report Posted January 18, 2006 at 05:48 AM oh (as in, "i see") It could also be 噢. Quote
Mugi Posted January 18, 2006 at 06:47 AM Report Posted January 18, 2006 at 06:47 AM um... 啊 ā, 嗯 ńg, 那么 nà me Quote
ala Posted January 18, 2006 at 09:27 AM Report Posted January 18, 2006 at 09:27 AM 噢 o = surprised/sudden awareness... "oh! damn!".... "oh! no wonder!" 哦 o = basic understanding or affirmation... "oh, i see"... "oh, okay"... "okay" 嗯 can be pronounced en, n, ng. I would say "en" for "yeah" is more common. "ng" is really a different sound... dialects with ng (as in pronunciation of 五) will know how "ng" really sounds like. Quote
