You can substitute 认识 (ren4shi5) for 见到 if you're meeting someone for the first time and introducing yourself.

It's supposed to mean.. "I love her, but I don't know if I can trust her."

and would you also check my romanization.

“如果我能“ is not correct here. Consider -

我愛她，但我不知道我能不能信任她。

我愛她, 但我不知道我信不信得過她.

To me “我愛她，但我不知道我可不可以信任她。”is the same.
