dmr1203 Posted January 22, 2006 at 11:22 AM Report Posted January 22, 2006 at 11:22 AM I was looking at a study abroad in Beijing, and came across the Center for Study Abroad website. Anyone heard anything about them? I need to get college credit, so do I have to go with a company, or can I get it directly from BCLU? Anyone ever got college credit by applying directly with the college in Beijing? Thanks. Quote
nerveandmuscle Posted January 24, 2006 at 05:09 PM Report Posted January 24, 2006 at 05:09 PM I didn't want to go with CET and the other big programs because they were so expensive. My school had this form that I had to fill out for them to evaluate whether the the program/school I wanted to meets their standards. (It had questions about the curriculum, housing, activities etc). I looked into CSA for my semester abroad but they were unresponsive to my questions and no help at all in filling out my form. It seems they just serve as middle man, relaying your application to the school (no program directors, special classes beyond what was offered at the university for all foreign students, etc). I filled out my school's form the best I can based on Tongji (Shanghai) University's website info and my university accepted my semester for credit. Quote
