peterwelm Posted January 23, 2006 at 07:12 AM Report Posted January 23, 2006 at 07:12 AM please tell us what OS and which version of stardict you are using. If you were always online,I suggest that you use this online dictionary service, http://www.iciba.net, it's free. This service can be even used to translate some simple sentence between chinese and english. The dictionary on this site is more authority than that of stardict. However, if you want to install a standalone version of stardict, maybe I can help you. Quote
WilsonFong Posted January 25, 2006 at 05:34 AM Author Report Posted January 25, 2006 at 05:34 AM hey peterwelm, thanks for the link, i already know some online dictionaries, but i'd prefer to have an offline as well. i'm trying to install the windows version (2.4.6) of stardict, (windows xp, don't know if that makes a difference) Quote
peterwelm Posted January 25, 2006 at 09:54 AM Report Posted January 25, 2006 at 09:54 AM WilsonFong, After you downloaded those dictionary packages, you can use WinRAR to extract the .tar.bz2 files into any directory, and then just move this directory to path-to-program-home-directorydic,such as C:Program filesstardictdic, then re-run the stardict program. that's all.
