ricoche Posted February 4, 2006 at 06:59 AM Report Posted February 4, 2006 at 06:59 AM Hi there, I'm a new member here. I'd like to know if any Chinese language enthusiasts here could help me with domain names. I run an electrical supply company in the states and would like to buy a new domain name for use in China. I'd like to know if there are any chinese words that can be used to represent "electrical supply" in a domain name. Is this possible? Something like china-electrical is taken so I thought I'd try something different by using something actually said in Chinese. Perhaps something like "chen-electrical", but that is a name and perhaps strange? Any cool names or words that are related to electrical supply that might work in China? I'm thinking of the Beijing/Shanghai areas. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks, Jim Note: In Japananese we can use Romaji, so car would be kuruma for example. So kuruma.com could be used as a domain name. I'm curious if Chinese is similar. Thanks again. Quote
jbiesnecker Posted February 5, 2006 at 11:22 AM Report Posted February 5, 2006 at 11:22 AM "Electrical supply" is, if I'm not mistaken, dian yuan (电源). Or do you mean electrical supplies as in "equipment and products that deal with electricty"? Quote
