clarydis Posted February 9, 2006 at 07:34 PM Report Posted February 9, 2006 at 07:34 PM Hihi everyone! Does anyone know how does the Global Village works? Their website is all in Korean and thus I have no idea about how to register for their courses, whether they have scheduled lists of courses etc. I want to go to Beijing for the months of May-July 2006 but all the public universities only offers courses starting from July!! The only 4-week course that BLCU offers starts late June and I plan to take that one but I want to get a head-start in May & June so that's why I'm looking into Global Village Thanks, everyone! ^_^ Quote
Pengyou Posted March 2, 2006 at 06:57 AM Report Posted March 2, 2006 at 06:57 AM If you go to the "study in Beijing" forum you will find a write up on this school. I attended it for 2 months, their beginner class. I found the instruction pretty good, as good as some of the classes that I sat in on in Beida, etc. What blew me out of the school is that (then) about 98% of the students were Koreans and could already read and write 400+ hanzi, so near the end of the first 2 month class I really was struggling. I had not yet developed the discipline to study and memorize hanzi. Hope this helps. Quote
