serpentino Posted February 16, 2006 at 03:09 AM Report Posted February 16, 2006 at 03:09 AM Wow, really thanks for the link. I must admit, that this was a name of my japanese teacher ("Igarashi", am I getting it right?) and I did think all those years it was feng in chinese! BTW, I could not check link by myslef - anything that has "wiki" in its http, is not accesible from China. At least that is my experience here in Shanghai and neighbouring provinces. It is heading off-topic, but probably chinese governement is afraid that someone would write too frankly about some chapters from recent history...? :-) Well, that who has done nothing wrong has no reason to be afraid, as my Grandma used to say! :-) Quote
amego Posted February 16, 2006 at 10:43 AM Report Posted February 16, 2006 at 10:43 AM What an interesting surname I'm just thinking if your Japanese teacher's given name is 3 characters long, so the name will be 6 characters long! What a long name... Quote
xiaocai Posted February 16, 2006 at 12:59 PM Report Posted February 16, 2006 at 12:59 PM so the name will be 6 characters long! It really happens. Once I saw the cast at the end of a Japanese movie and an actress is called 早乙女由美子(saotome yumiko), so six characters. Quote
