L-F-J Posted February 23, 2006 at 04:08 AM Report Posted February 23, 2006 at 04:08 AM So, why does it take so long to have a post or new topic show up on the boards? I read something about the moderation but is that necessary for everything? It makes this place very slow when trying to talk to each other if we have to wait a whole day for one post or topic to show up. In one topic I just posted and then someone else's post showed up and mine still hadn't. I'm guessing someone already posted before me and they were waiting as well. If so, then I could have been posting without seeing all the posts-to-come. This seems like a problem for communication here, to me. Or maybe this is just happening to me. Quote
roddy Posted February 23, 2006 at 04:23 AM Report Posted February 23, 2006 at 04:23 AM Did you bother reading this, particularly item 8? Or this from when you signed up? New members are pre-moderated. This means your posts will not appear until they have been read by an administrator. Quote
L-F-J Posted February 23, 2006 at 07:12 AM Author Report Posted February 23, 2006 at 07:12 AM Yes, as I said I read about the moderation but I didn't understand how long it takes, or when you don't have to go through that anymore as it was taking awhile. Having all new members in that category seemed to be a bit uptight but at least it keeps the place clean and tidy. Has there been many problems with misconduct around here before? Quote
HashiriKata Posted February 23, 2006 at 07:50 AM Report Posted February 23, 2006 at 07:50 AM Has there been many problems with misconduct around here before? No problems, only perfection. Roddy would be happy to tell you all about the 完美主义 we've got here (if you request, that is. ) Quote
Quest Posted February 24, 2006 at 01:43 AM Report Posted February 24, 2006 at 01:43 AM It only applies to new members, or old ones that violate some rules or annoy the admin. I got banned by the stupid admin a couple days ago for smiling in sunglasses... Quote
