you101 Posted March 1, 2006 at 03:24 PM Report Posted March 1, 2006 at 03:24 PM 得- need 要- want 必须- must must nad need sometimes comes cloase depending on how u use it. another word is 需要. can be used for both must and need Quote
zhxlier Posted March 1, 2006 at 04:15 PM Report Posted March 1, 2006 at 04:15 PM 必需 is not an aux. verb but an adjective. It means "necessary". e.g. 必需品 得 and 必须 can both mean "must". e.g. 我得走了。 我必须走了。 The two sentences are basically the same. The former is more casual, thus is used more in speaking. 要 simply means "will" or "going to". No "must" involved. e.g. 我要走了。 I'm going to go. Hi I was wondering if someone could explain the difference to me between:得, 要, 必须 and 必需? Quote

travislover Posted March 14, 2006 at 12:29 PM Report Posted March 14, 2006 at 12:29 PM 得, 要, 必须 and 必需? let me give you some examples! 必需and 必须just have one different word, but they have different meaning you must go now:你现在必须走(some thing you must do!it's about action) this is what you need:这是你必需的(some thing you really need,it's about your need) i have to leave now:我现在要走了(used in this situation means the same to 必须,something you have to do!) i want that book:我要那本书(about something you want or wish to do) i should do this:我得这么做(something you think its necessary to do.) do i explain it clearly?
