i've heard about the csc, are there others? is scholarship for 1 year or less chinese learning avialbale for csc? how hard is it to get a csc scholarship?

I have read through the application form and it says that you need to have a 'guarantor' in China - who can I put as this? just a friend??

It also asks your to write down who recommended you to study in China. Is that necessary for language students? I will not be taking a degree (no money!)

Any help would be great.
