nipponman Posted March 7, 2006 at 12:11 PM Report Posted March 7, 2006 at 12:11 PM I was wondering about the difference between these expressions. I know that they all mean, "both...and", (and I just assume the last one is more formal) but I want to know is there any reason you would choose one over the other or are they completely, 100% interchangeable? You help would be most appreciated here, nipponman Quote

nipponman Posted March 7, 2006 at 04:50 PM Author Report Posted March 7, 2006 at 04:50 PM Thanks alot Amego, Hmm, interesting, I get two things from your examples: 1. My initial assumtion about ji4...you4 was incorrect 2. 也...也 is not as broad in its usage as the others. The problem is I still don't understand how one can differentiate between the expressions, I guess this is just a natural sense that one must gain through experience. Quote

Which, upon review, seems rather elementary. Am I right? Quote
