889 Posted August 31, 2007 at 02:51 PM Report Posted August 31, 2007 at 02:51 PM It looks like foreign travellers to Beijing next year will be eating Mapo Tofu, Kung Pao Chicken and Yu-Shiang Shredded Pork. You've got till tomorrow -- September 1 -- to suggest improvements. http://www.bjta.gov.cn/zwgg/zwggtt/103835.htm Quote
Colossus Posted October 14, 2007 at 06:21 AM Report Posted October 14, 2007 at 06:21 AM Awesome, thanks for this! Maybe this will help end my "point and grunt method". Speaking of which, I'm starving, so it's off to the Uyghur restaurant where I'll do just that. Quote

LiYuanXi Posted October 19, 2007 at 08:22 AM Report Posted October 19, 2007 at 08:22 AM My friend gave me a printed out chinese menu he found on the internet. There was both chinese and english names in the menu but the english translation was so badly done! In fact the translation was so bad that another friend of mine thought that it was done on purpose to entertain the foreign diners. I am not sure. Does anyone knows whether it's real of just a joke for diners? Here is an example from the menu: 干炒牛河 - F**k to fry the cow river Quote
