kaox0018 Posted March 25, 2006 at 04:38 AM Report Posted March 25, 2006 at 04:38 AM Ok, i'm having a really hard time explaining in mandarin what i do for my job. I really would like the Chinese people in my life to understand what I do and my crappy broken Chinese doesn't do a good job. Can someone help me translate the following? Thanks. (I would write what I would say but I don't have access to a computer with chinese input). I work at a high school where I recruit volunteer tutors for students. After I train volunteers, I place/coordinate the tutors with teachers and classrooms. Quote
semantic nuance Posted March 25, 2006 at 05:46 AM Report Posted March 25, 2006 at 05:46 AM Hi, work at a high school where I recruit volunteer tutors for students. After I train volunteers, I place/coordinate the tutors with teachers and classrooms. 我在高中工作, 負責訓練志工家教. 訓練完以後, 我再把這些志工家教分配給老師, 還有分配教室. Hope it helps! Quote
skylee Posted March 26, 2006 at 03:46 AM Report Posted March 26, 2006 at 03:46 AM To me, "volunteer" is 義工, "volunteer tutors" or "voluntary tutors" is 義務導師. I think a 家教 is a tutor go goes to a student's home to give him/her private tuition. Quote
