Yeah, female students dorm. See also here, where I made a :oops: mistake myself.

I thought I had another photo of male dorms with a 'no girls' sign, but can't find it now.

Different terms have different meanings in different places.

公寓 means the cheapest kind of love hotel in HK/Macau. If you suggest to take your girlfirend to the 公寓, definitely you will be slapped two times on your face.

Has anyone heard of the term 寓公?

寓公 refers to those ethnic Chinese immigrants in North America or Australia who don't work but live on the wealth that they bring from their home places.
