I have some listening material developed for my chinese classes, if anyone is interested let me know . It's in MP3 and Wave form, both English and Chinese

are read, There are stories, sentences, songs translation & explaination etc .

Very nice voice and pleasant song. I looked up the lyrics on baidu and added some pinyin and machine translation (which will no doubt be not quite as accurate as you would have given Jacky ).

I would also like to see some of your class materials so I apologise if I have jumped in too quick with my contribution below.

Whie studying GuoYu in Taiwan, we had this audio room where we could listen while looking at text and repeat. Every sentence would be followed by a puase to allow ample time to repeat. I found this to be extremely useful. If I did this for two hours straight people would be shocked by how good my tones are (the effect would last for just a few hours .

Anyhow, I'm looking for something similar on a CD using putonghua. Any ideas?

The translation is okay, If you are Chinese, this isn't good enough, as there are several mistakes, to list a few here :

1. Better be as follows:

深 深 的 一 段 情

shēn shēn de yī duàn qíng

This love is so deep that

(教) 我 思 念 到 如 今

jiào wǒ sī niàn dào rú jīn

I still miss it up till now

Explanation:

"Jiao" doesn't mean "teach" here, It should be "叫"

It means "let" or "make" here.

Example: She made me very upset.

Ta jiao wo hen sheng qi.

2. 你 去 看 一 看

nǐ qù kàn yī kàn

Better be translated as:

You can go have a look ( for yourself )

3. 我 爱 你 有 几 分

wǒ ài nǐ yǒu jǐ fēn

I love you for having it somewhat or

I love you to have somewhat

The above two translation you posted above is not good.

This should be a question after the first question " You ask how deeply I love you, "

It means: " You ask how deeply I love you, and how much I love you"

.......................

There are other wordings can be better, but not so bad. Thanks for your hard work.
